What I have been up to lately?

I have been busy…not only with designing. I have been more than busy with my kids, especially Josh. The little guy discovered paper! And scissors ! And I tried to encourage it, as until that time he never wanted to cut, or draw or do whatever craft if he didn’t have to.
And now we are calling tons of paper critters our own, all handcut and glued by him. I only helped scoring the foldlines. No whining that his hand hurts, no argueing about going on or not, even my idea of cutting out blank templates and color them got accepted right away! I had a kid that was cutting out creatures like a maniac. Here are some examples of his work
Aren’t they cute? We now are calling 22 of different creatures our own. Well, as he got faster cutting I had to work hard scoring all the foldlines LOL
Another weekend I tried my skills on sewing again. I had bought me this cute book and I can highly recommend it if you are into Monsters and would like to get more ideas but “only plushies”
Look what I was able to sew. While sewing the monster cap I thought of throwing it out of the window several times but in the end I managed to finish it!! Believe me when I tell you that I am a sewing newbie and complete nono but I made it! I am pretty proud about myself I can tell you! And doesn’t it look great? What do you say?
(Photo treatment made with the gorgeous Lightrom Presets Pack 3 of Christian O’Dell)
But no worries: I haven’t quit designing. There will be some cool and cutesey hybrid packs as well as a new Kit coming out soon! Stay tuned and join our challenge to be in for a prize!
Hugs and happy friday
Sylvie
