Merry christmas to all!

No I have not fallen off this world, I have simply been busy – more busy than I actually thought I would be – with the new house, the new puppy, sick kids, sick puppy, sick hubby and then sick me. But now all is calming a little, christmas eve lies in front of us and we are all expecting wonderful holidays filled with love.

I am wishing you and yours wonderful and peaceful holidays, a sparkling start into the new year and a prosperous, happy and healthy New Year 2012! Be blessed!

I am in the mood for…Turquoise

I love this color lately. So I decided to paint my grandma’s old white cupboard turquoise. A bit later I came across this wooden Ikea box and decided to paint it, too. I didn’t use anything fancy to paint all…simply gesso as primer and acrylic paint for color and distressing.

When all was done I distressed and aged them a bit and stenciled the box. I am planning to pimp my little creative space with my “new” turquoise furniture. Guess it came out well. But take a look yourself.

Oh and also Karl shows off on this pic..I finally made it to print him on fabric. He his going to become a softie !

…and bravely I am decluttering and packing one box after the other…the hill of boxes is growing and I slowly realize that sooner or later there will be a problem of putting them somewhere….20 something boxes for the books in our living room only..well…it is going to be an adventure to move house after 14 years in one appartment. I wish it would be over already LOL

Well, I love all things paper..not only digital and I really love paper toys (remember that I also “infected” Josh?)
There are wonderful paper machines, little toys and cute little paper tid bits out there and many creative paper designers luckily offer some of their templates for free. So also does Josh McKible with his cute little NaniBird template that some of you might already know. I now had the honor to be among the gorgeous guest designers of the cute Batch 4 hatchlings! You have to check them all out. And if you’d like to add a sausandesigns’ style NaniBird to your shelves, tables and windowsills I’d love to see your creations and locations!

This year we have loads of snow which is pretty unusual for the area I am living in. But it is wonderful! All looks like a sparkling wonderland.

Last days of autumn

Don’t you love autum, the colors, the rustling sound of the leaves when you take a walk in the forest? I love this time of the year. And how about you?
We are still very busy with our “old house to new house”- project and still have a lot of work to do. If you are interested you can follow the process here
This doesn’t only affect my and my kids’s daily schedule but also my design work as I can hardly find some time for drawing, crafting and designing. But well, I still do some tiny little things and will show them soon.
